You need to use slowly by gently squeezing and holding head to one side to allow for the product to slide down into the ear. I would recommend a dropper, wiped each time of course and I would recommend cotton wool bud to apply elsewhere. Or make sure you only gently squeeze and allow to come out slowly and slide down into the canal. Hold a tissue to prevent spilling as with and oil. I have used this 3 times and this has calmed it down and no more itching .
