The competitor to this product (The Bin Claw) arrived first and it was easy to install and a perfect for my Toter trash can. This product arrived second and seems like it would be more resistant to the elements (metal vs. plastic), but it is more of a process to install and the wires are more difficult to adjust. Another thing to consider is that some trash cans are provided by municipalities or sanitation service providers and they will not allow you to drill holes into their property.
