I suddenly developed acne on my forehead and upper chest over a period of two months. I used benzoyl peroxide wash and cream for a few weeks and this cleared up the acne but left me with terrible dry/sore/sensitive/ flaky skin!! If I used my old skincare products the acne began to return! I happened to spot these products and used both the cetaphil wash and cream twice a day. Within four days my skin was soft and hydrated again with no unsightly bumps or redness!! I know use this as my daily routine to keep my skin in good condition. The only downside is that the wash does not foam, this is a problem if like me you wear a lot of make up. To rectify this is wash and rinse and repeat, then follow with micellar water which removes all my make up. Some reviews stated it is ?** A: I bought the small bottle for my 12 year old son as he was suffering a severe rash between his fingers, just to try it out. This has died down completely, so not sure why they are calling it a fake. Certainly worked for him. So much to the point that my wife and daughter have started using it "because it feels so nice". Expensive for simply washing your hands. That said, I have ordered another two one litre bottles for them (I decant these into the smaller 250 ml bottle because it looks nicer on the bathroom sink than a large bottle). Obviously I cannot vouch for it, as to whether it is a fake; however, certainly worked for my son (he is training to be a goal-keeper so I am guessing his rash was partly due to him wearing goal-keeping gloves a lot, plus continually washing his hands a lot owing to the need to minimise any Covid-19 that might be around and getting onto his hands). The only reason I'm rating it 4* is because I feel that the cleanser doesn't apply easily on the skin. It's impossible to create a lather and so it feels like you're putting an oily hand soap on your face and rubbing it about. However, once you manage to cover your face and cleanse, it comes off nicely and leaves your skin feeling fresh without having all your oils stripped from your face. This moisturiser, like many (if not all) of the Cetaphil product range, is also non-comedogenic; it does not block pores. This is great for acne suffers as it minimises the risk of blocked pores occurring from your own skincare products.
