With older knees, that much time down makes it hard to get up with nothing nearby for balance. We tried a garden kneepad stand, but the bare metal on the bottom was slippery and dangerous on this type of surface, so we thought we would try this. We started with all of the height sections in place but them removed one because it felt much better for us.
