I wish I had spent twice the price for a name brand made in USA pump. So many things wrong with this and i want to write a long tirade, but I will just make a list.1. Biggest issue is non conformance with American plumbing sizes. The outflow connection on filter housing is a molded threaded fitting at 1-1/8" diameter. In the USA we have 1" or 1-1/2" fittings in Universal Pipe Thread diameters. I had to custom make a coupling device out of 1" ID vinyl hose, heated and forced onto the filter housing fitting, then clamped on and the used a 1" barbed to 1-1/4" PVC adapter to then connect the rest of my plumbing which is 1-1/4" PVC and 1-1/4" flex hose, see photo's. Also the other 2 fittings are barbed for connecting a flexible type hose to. These are also not standard diameter and the flex hose fit loose and needed to have a layer of waterproof rubberized tape wrapped around the fitting before clamping the flex hose or adapter to connect standard plumbing pipe or fitting to.2. Poor assembly directions. Diagrams only with lettered legend, but no corresponding parts list for that legend!3. Selection lever on filter housing is very hard to operate.4. Once all set up and running performance and suction seems to be very low!5. I do not expect this to last thru the season, and will update this review at a later date.Please just don't buy this product, save yourself the time, headaches, and excess money.
