Pros: It is easy to use, sharpens well, and has a stone side, and a hone side. Can sharpen 2 different angles. Cons: If your blade is extremely dull, you may need a more aggressive sharpener, and it's too tall to sharpen steak knife size blades. you couldn't use it for a filet knife, or paring knife. Works only on larger kitchen knives. The blade has to be taller and longer than the alignment block, or you cant use it. its excellent for maintenance on sharp knives. Less effective for dull knives that need some aggressive grinding, or blades with chipped edges.
