## Description

Standard Motor Products RY612 Relay

Review: Fixed - I have a 2004 ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4L that was randomly dying while driving down the road multiple times daily. I never would've guessed that it would be this relay. I replaced the idle air control valve, one of the hoses coming from the intake, etc., but the problem persisted. Finally, after reading on some of the forums, I decided to try replacing this relay (it is the fuel pump relay). I really didn't think it would work, but the vehicle started right up and hasn't had the problem since. I'm amazed. Update: If you're in the same situation as me above ('04 Expedition 5.4L) and this part only temporarily fixes the problem, I recommend biting the bullet and purchasing a new fuse panel. This relay failed shortly after posting my initial review. At that point, I tried another new relay and still no start. I then ordered a new fuse panel ($400) and the problem hasn't returned. The fuse panel isn't difficult to replace. It took me about 30 minutes. There are videos on YouTube.
Review: A Gr8 Relay At A Most Reasonable Price...Get Two Or More Of Them! - These relays are fine. First rate. If you lubricate the female receptacle in the fuse box with CRC Cleaner/Lubricant {BLUE can} or even with a squirt of WD-40 first...then push-pull the relay carefully into place making sure all five contacts align properly...you will have absolutely no problem pulling it out again in the future if need be. A little lubrication goes a long way! The relay cover will not come off. These relays are made to go in the slotted contacts very tightly. This ensures positive electrical connection to the device being protected. They are perfect for both my 1998 Chrysler Sebring Convertible {146K mi.} & my son's 2001 Sebring sedan {225K mi.}. I used to sell Standard electrical parts for Brookdale Auto Supply in New Jersey which is now P&A/NAPA back in the 70's and purchased many myself over the years and never experienced any problems. These are just as well made or better than ever! Go get 'em...the price is right!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked Great as Replacment for 1999 Indian Chief Motorcycle Starter Relay
*by S***W on July 8, 2013*

Purchased this for a replacement for 1999 Indian Chief Motorcycle starter relay. Relay is actually part of the original Thunder Heart Performance (EHC) Electronic Harness Controller, shown as Hella p/n RSE2206 - which I could not find anywhere. Other part numbers I was given (which I did NOT buy and test) include Autozone 41-5620, and Ford F5TZ-14N089-B. This part fit perfectly in the EHC, although the original relay had one tab (center pin of the 3 in a row) on the relay removed - I did NOT break off the same tab, I left it on, and the relay functions fine. Hopefully that will not be a long term problem. Have used it for several weeks, and the bike starts fine.
