Ethanol is the stuff that made Jack Daniels Famous in other words ALCOHOL and basically is derived from the FERMeNTATION of SUGARS In strict terms anytjing that contains CARBON is organic. AL food is organic as well. The opposite to ORGANIC is INORGANIC so whilst we have ORGANIC carrots I've often wondered what INORGANIC carrots look like !! I'd have though that anybody would read the label and see METHS is highly flammable Methylated spirits contains METHANOL and a bittering agent to discourage consumption, an identifyingcolourant and a small percentage of the THIRD [rubbing] alcohol to ensure that it burns with a VISIBLE flame. Cut with say 20/25% water it makes an acceptable HAND SANITISER but because it's also tends to DRY the skin it should be used witth caution. I ALWAYS wear dispoable nitrile gloves.. MOst hand sant itisers are merely ethanol plus another alcohol with the addition of perfume and a gelling agent. They also are highly flammable **Q: Does this remover sticky residue that sicky tape leaves behind on wooden furniture** A: Yes you can but you have to be careful it can remove the polish. **Q: Is this type of meths ok for thinning french polish ?** A: I’m sorry, don’t know about that - I got it to wash brushes after painting shellac undercoat **Q: does this remove paint from paint brushes???** A: Only if the paint is oil based.
