However, it's been a mainstay for pretend food play or recreating the very hungry caterpillar. My child also learned the names of all of the fruits so it was a great vocab builder. We also sorted the fruits into colors. We also have a puppet that likes to "eat" these fruits as well. This is probably my best time spent playing vs money spent toy and my child can and will play independently with it. *******HOWEVER, I removed the avocado pit when we bought it and do not let him play with it. The avocado pit is the perfect size to choke on.
