I like to lie on the sofa with the laptop on my belly while I play, and I must have a stand so I don't burn myself! This stand is perfect. It is adjustable so I can make it comfortable to type and raise the screen to feel good. This is one of the very few metal ones I've found, and it's sturdy mesh to support even a heavy machine. The hinges and adjustable stand are all metal and I don't worry about it breaking. An addition plus to me is that the bottom is the same full metal mesh across the entire surface, so I can actually balance it on my belly or on my knees and it is sturdy. There is ample air flow to allow the fans to cool the machine as much as possible without worrying about touching it.

This is the third computer stand I tried and success at last! The other 2 were slippery and very precarious for my computer. It is very high quality construction, requires no assembly and is adjustable to 7 different heights. It is more expensive than the other ones but is worth every penny in my opinion.
