We had a drop ceiling in our dining room that needed gone ages ago because it was hideous and I wanted the original 9 foot ceilings back. Once we tore down the drop ceiling, and saw popcorn ceilings under that, we kind of rolled our eyes. I hadn't intended on spending a large amount on our dining room remodel and I certainly wasn't looking to make a gigantic mess everywhere, so rather than scraping the popcorn ceilings, I did some research and found these. Initially I was unsure about them. I mean, they are Styrofoam after all, but,I ordered based on the square footage of our room + a few extra as spares just in case.They arrived quickly and packaged well; nothing broken. We decided to attach our ceiling light to the center of one, instead of the center of 4 corners, which looked really good. We used a few bottles of Loctite to apply these to our ceiling, without having to scrape the popcorn ceiling. At one point, my husband had to reposition one, and had a hard time getting it back off the ceiling to fix it. It was then that we knew these would last quite a while.Instillation of the entire thing didn't take long at all, and while you can paint them, we just left them their original color. No one can tell that it's foam. The look on their faces when we tell them, says it all. We continue to get compliments on it and everyone that sees it, loves it. It's actually become one of my favorite parts of the room, and has made the room much brighter and I have my high ceilings back! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Do Yourself a Favor....Buy these!! *by M***R on June 26, 2020* I dont normally write reviews, but I felt this one was definitely called for.. First things first... Use the RIGHT glue and take your time putting these up! They're beautiful once you're done. My mistake is that I saw someone on Amazon review these and they said they used liquid nails to install. DO NOT USE LIQUID NAILS!! Liquid nails.. Which I came to find out.. Will EAT the Styrofoam! It doesnt happen right away and initially I thought that was a useful tip when I ordered these. A week later and my ceiling looked horrible so I got back up on the ladder to see what was going on. To my surprise these lovely foam tiles were pretty much... GONE... I have to redo what I have put up (doing a little at time) and was a bit upset with myself for not following the guidelines ON the paper that comes with these. Secondly... You CAN get these at Home Depot. I was extremely happy that Home Depot had these for nearly HALF of what this seller was offering them for. DON'T get them at Home Depot! DO NOT CUT CORNERS trying to save a dollar!! Home Depot's tiles, while yes are very similar, are NOT the same density and the design is not near the quality you get with this seller!! The tiles, when I first bought from Amazon, were only $2.99. They've since nearly gone up a dollar and that is why I was looking for another place with the same design. Dont make my mistakes. Follow the directions. GET THE RIGHT GLUE and do NOT order from Home Depot unless you want to waste your time and return them! The tiles from this seller on Amazon are AMAZING and I would use them (and am using them to replace my lost ones) again and again and again. ### ⭐ Save your money *by M***L on November 2, 2022* Not worthy.
