Got the job done

I USED ONE OF THESE DRILLS TO BREAK THROUGH ASPHALT. SOME ONE PAVED PART OF OUR YARD. SOME ONE ELSE COVERED THE AREA WITH SOIL ABOUT 5 INCHES DEEP. I WANTED TO BREAK THROUGH THE ASPHALT SO PLANTS COULD ROOT BETTER. I DRILLED SEVERAL HOLES CLOSE TOGETHER AND PULLED UP PIECES OF THE ASPHALT. THE DRILL WAS NOT DULLED AND WENT THROUGH THE ASPHALT EASILY.

I'm impressed! This pair of 3/4x12" Hammer Drill Bits arrived quickly and are much better quality than the bits available at the Orange or Blue box stores, and at a fraction of their price. I appreciate the engineering of these Cross-X carbide tips with their double-helix shaft ... just so obviously better than the single Tee points and single helix you see on other bits ... even (so-called) "premium" bits. I only need to drill a single hole in my house slab, but I ordered the pair because buying these costs less than renting a hammetr drill and a single bit for four hours.

Shank will not work with a Jacobs chuck (Harbor Freight Bauer $37.00 hammer drill). I had to grind the end off the shank to remove the grooves, after that it worked just fine in brick ( I did drill a pilot hole first).

These bits worked great for me! I was drilling into cement in an irrigation ditch that was installed in 1970 that was very hard. My carbide bit drilled through one hole to one inch and wore out. One bit drilled 32 holes 2 inch deep and I could have kept going!

Got this 2 pack to drill 1" holes into 6" thick concrete. Thought I would save some money since two of these cost about half of what a quality name brand bit would cost. First bit did pretty well. It drilled about 12-15 holes until finally the cutting tip broke right off. Must of drilled a couple more with the tip off because I didn't realize right away it had broken off. At the time I thought OK that's a cheap drill bit but I got some holes drilled successfully in the concrete slab. Switched to the other identical bit and after 2 holes the bit broke at the shaft inside the bit chuck on the drill, jamming it inside my drill! Could not for the life of me get the broken off piece of drill bit out of my drill even after taking the drill apart so finally had to go buy an expensive new SDS hammer drill. Learned my lesson the hard way.

Got these to drill 2 holes, yup. Got tired of taking 10 minutes to drill a hole, just one hole and I had to drill two. I got me a rotary hammer drill and these bits and saved myself 19 minutes of work. Now if I ever come across a job that requires me drilling into concrete I won't dread the day. Zip, zip, done.

Muy buenas brocas, me sirvieron para taladrar unas rocas enormes que sobresalían de la pared de un estacionamiento. Calculo que hice más de 300 barrenos. Ya perdieron un poco de filo pero aún sirven.
