Volkswagen uses FULLY SYNTHETIC OIL 5W40 FOR Polo as well as the Vento. (Both petrol & diesel variants) I had a Polo diesel before & the service centre uses the same grade oil 5W40 for all the variants but the quantity differs. VW service centre uses Castrol Magnetic engine oil. But Castrol edge is anyways better as compared to Castrol Magnetic. You can talk to the service advisor & say you will get the engine oil yourself.
