It's extremely versatile, transparent and built like a tank. It's 'shiny kit' for sure. I can't get a bad sound out of this pedal. Origin Effects have some helpful setting suggestions that get you started. If I were to pick only three pedals for my board (out of the many that I have floating around), this would be my first choice. It was also shipped and arrived very quickly from Electric Mojo Guitars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ klanglich unauffällig und dennoch Leistungsstark *by C***N on Reviewed in Germany on 4 September 2019* Nachdem ich bereits einen MXR DynaComp und das EHX ToneCorset ausprobiert hatte, mit beiden aber nicht so richtig glücklich wurde, habe ich nur sehr zögerlich die Entscheidung zum Kauf des Cali76 getroffen. Das war ein Fehler. Der Comp ist unglaublich klanggetreu und verändert die Dynamik des Gitarrensignals, aber nicht dessen Klang. Mit der richtigen Einstellung komprimiert er sehr unauffällig und erzeugt ein schönes Systain ohne die Anschlagcharakteristik des Tones zu beeinflussen. Das ist genau das, was ich lange Zeit gesucht habe. Der Preis ist zwar etwas hoch, doch ist der Cali 76 jeden Cent wert. Wer kann, sollte ihn mit 18V ansteuern. Sollte der Kompressor mal irgendwann den Geist aufgeben, dann kommt für mich kein anderes Gerät in Frage. Ich werde ihn also jederzeit wieder kaufen. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Compressor with it's own sound vs. the original big box. *by D***G on Reviewed in the United States on 26 August 2016* I first off want to say that I love this compressor because the quality of build, and the sound it produces. I really wish people wouldn't say that it's exactly like the big Cali76, just in a smaller box. That is not true. It's extremely high quality compression but the bigger Cali76 sounds a tad bit more transparent and airy. This does have it's own advantage though with the DRY mix knob.
