Doesn't come with a 5v cable, but doesn't require it due to it being powered by a HDMI device when it is turned on. But now it will constantly switch signals out of no where, requiring me to turn it back onto the signal I was on. It's starting to get really annoying.I guess this is what you should expect for a $10 switch.EDIT: Realized it was my Wii U coming on for automatic updates that kept having the switch turn to it while I was on a different device. Turned that off and I haven't had any issues with this. I luckily had a 5V cable available and use it to avoid having to force the HDMI slot to power it. Keeping it 4/5 because it doesn't come with a 5V cable. ### ⭐ Potentially not worth the money spent. *by M***L on Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2016* Updating review:The product has a new interesting feature- randomly and for no reason, when only one of the plugged in devices is on, the switcher randomly changes from switch 1 to switch 3. Cable box was plugged into spot one, Wii U in spot three. Switched the WiiU to spot 2. switcher still kepted switching randomly and for no reason. Again for 20.00 I can't complain too much but I really don't think this product is even worth that much at this point. Now shopping for a new switcher.Bought it for a PS3, PS4 and Wii U and Comcast cable boxPS4 and 3 won't stay on unless Wii U is also on. Replaced the Wii U with my Cable box which is always on and it seems allow the PS3 and 4 to work fine. Not sure why the Playstation consoles aren't good enough to keep the switch on by themselves. WiiU and Cable box did not need a second item to be on in order to run properly.Remote it came with doesn't work, potentially shipped with a dead battery. Product also has a mysterious DC/5V port. Product does not ship with anything to plug into this port. Not sure of its purpose, since the product doesn't ship with any sort of manual either. I assume that it's for powering the switcher with only one gadget turned on, but who knows.Gets two stars only because at 20 bucks its hard to complain, I'm getting exactly what I paid for. I would not recommend this product for anyone who can afford to spend a little more on a higher quality product. I was tired of switching between hdmi cords and needed a simple solution. Luckily, I came across this awesomely cheap switcher.At first, I thought the Switcher was missing the DC power cord due to there being a port on the side for one. I was relieved when I found that the device gets it power from the HDMI cords.The remote is....simple. I'm hoping to find a universal remote that can recognized that signal, because I may lose the little bugger., or get tired of having separate remotes (first world problems)I suggest mounting the switcher to the back of your tv if possible, otherwise the cords may be jumbled and messy.But the device gets the job done. It's cheap. It works.
