However, no one has had any issues and one of my providers even got one for her desk. Between this and my little mini crockpot, the only time I eat out is if I did not have time to package or cook at all. **Q: Can you plug this into the cigarette lighter in a car? or just an electrical outlet?** A: The Hotlogic Mini draws 45 watts and plugs into 120V AC. To use it in your car, you would need an inverter that plugs into the cigarette lighter. On Amazon, a 75 watt inverter costs about $16 and in addition to an AC plug, most of them allow you to plug in USB to charge your cell phone etc. You would plug the inverter into your cigarette lighter and then plug the HotLogic Mini into the inverter. Since the inverter is rated at about twice the power requirement for the device, no problem. **Q: where is it made?** A: The plate itself is made in the USA. "Made in the USA" is molded on the bottom of the plate. The soft case is made in China-per the cloth tag on the case. **Q: Does anyone have experience with taking through airport security? my husband works at atl and is not sure it will get through the security checkpoint.** A: It's fine.
