no polarization = no use
would be a great splitter if allowed polarized plugs. almost all electrical things in my house have a polarized wire so this thing was pointless

Old school!
Very old design - cannot accept modern plugs with one wider and one thinner prong. The two-size prongs have been the norm for decades now. You can't even find many appliances or electric equipment that has single width prongs! If you use this, you'll have to spend some time filing down the prongs on whatever equipment you plan on plugging into it.
