This Game Will Give You Bad Anxiety 😂
David Cage is simply the best at writing and directing these types of games. He knows how to make the player feel emotion even from the most subtle of things happening in the story. This game is mainly an interactive movie experience and really you should already know this before purchasing it. I think this has a tendency to put some people off but the story is so good and engrossing from the opening scene that I honestly don't understand how anyone could not like it. That's not to say the whole thing is one long cutscene, you can explore the world and interact and it pays to do so as it will open up additional decisions you can make within the story. As well as chase scenes, fight scenes and Connors investigative work there's more than enough to keep things interesting. The story centres around 3 Androids. Connor - An Android detective. Markus - A sort of caregiver to a wealthy elderly man. Kara - Kind of like an Android Nanny purchased to clean around the house and look after a little girl Alice and her abusive father Todd. The story raises some interesting points about the way Artifical Intelligence is progressing and how Androids would be treated if they were to function within our societies. The public opinion of Androids in the story is largely sceptical due to the amount of Androids replacing humans in every day jobs resulting in Androids being mistreated and abused as if they were merely objects. A very believable premise considering the amount of idiots in reality who mistreat animals and such. Each character you play has an interesting story interwoven into one another. Connors story focuses on him investigating an ever increasing number of Androids becoming "Deviants" comitting crimes. He does so with the help of his cop partner Hank who initially hates Androids. Depending on the way you interact with him and decisions you make you could develop either a hostile relationship with him or get to know him and you'll get a buddy comedy between two cops. Markus's Story begins with him caring for an elderly man who treats him well in return for his assistance and it is apparent they have developed a friendship over the years. Fairly early on in the game something threatens to put this in jeopardy. Karas story begins shortly after her memory has been wiped after an incident. She wakes up in the Android store being collected from a scruffy looking guy called Todd. They arrive back at Todd's run down house where you meet his daughter, a deeply sad and troubled young girl. The events that unfold after are quite dark and serious. I remember hearing about calls to ban certain scenes from this section which is ridiculous. If anything it is educational to show that this kind of behaviour is not ok. Plus the game is Rated 18 so its not intended for younger audiences anyway. This leads me on to the great way the game puts you into the characters shoes. You'll constantly be faced with decisions and only seconds to make them leading you to at times make irrational decisions that arent always the right ones just like in reality. Resulting in any number of consequences. And there are a LOT of consequences to this game. The story can go a multitude of ways depending on your actions. At the end of each section you can view a flow chart showing all the choices you made and greyed out all the ones you didn't make, by that I don't mean just a couple of different scenes here and there, it could literally be a whole other story. You can tell a crazy amount of work went into this game creating all these different scenarios. THOUGHTS AFTER COMPLETING (No Spoilers) Towards the end of the story the decision making gets ramped up to 10000. Everything you do will greatly effect your outcome, even decisions you made at the beginning will start having an effect on you. One thing I found out is that choices are never obvious which I feel somewhat conflicted about. You may have good intentions and think you are about to make the right decision but it ends up being one of the worst choices you could ever make which can be devastating if you are trying to get a good ending. I guess this is what the developer intended though as just like in real life we never really know if the choices we make are the right ones until we make them. Advice: Try to play through the entire story without cheating or resetting no matter what happens. This is the way the developer intended the game to be played and it gives everyone a unique ending that way. You can always go back after or start another playthrough and try to get the better endings. You'll also have a reason to play the game more than once that way. Also don't think of each part of the story as a level you need to beat, if you base your decisions on what seems obvious or what the game wants you to do then things can start going downhill. Its more about developing a character and deciding what kind of relationship you want to have with other people you meet along the way. This really is in a different category of a normal game. Its an experience that doesnt exist in any other format. How many movies/games have you watched/played lately where you were on the edge of your seat every second not knowing what to expect next or what decision to make, not knowing how its going to affect the story. If that appeals to you then you cant miss it. After completing the game i think its simply a masterpiece of story telling and an emotional rollercoaster that will quite literally bring you to tears if you make the wrong choices. In my opinion not even 5 stars does it justice. If you agree leave a like so more people experience this and Quanticdream develop more titles as good as this.

Amazing story
If you are looking for a game that is a walk and shoot or hitting someone over the head by mashing the R2 button over and over this is not the game for you. The demo just didn’t do it any justice, it’s the very beginning of the game so didn’t throw you into the good stuff. I am so glad I kept my order as this is a fantastic game and I will be playing through it again and again but choosing different options. This is a story driven game, it required you to do a number of quick time events and button mashing. Sounds boring? It’s far from boring. Yes the graphics are brilliant but the way the game makes you care for the three characters you play is amazing. You have your three main characters, Marcus, Kara and Connor. Marcus leads the androids to their “future” I won’t go any further with him as he seems to be the story evolves around mainly. Throughout his story you are required to gain the trust of close Android friends, human civilians and androids as a whole. Each path you chose has an impact on how each group sees you. So violent acts cause humans to hate you. But each act will cause your friends to lose faith in you or love you more, you chose the option knowing you will gain respect from one and disappoint another. That’s what makes the story interesting, knowing the impact your choice will have. Kara is the mother of the story, she serves a man and a little girl and ends up having to fend for the girl and keep her to safe. You go from place to play trying to keep her alive, finding somewhere warm or saving her from danger. Connor is a police android who is assigned to a cop that is investigating the rouge androids. He investigates murders and has to hunt down rouge androids, piecing together why they are turning against humans. You get countless story twist and turns with each character that makes you question if you are making the right move, and I did often think “I should of don’t that!”. If you played heavy rain the gameplay is very much like that. I have just completed the game after playing about 6 hours non stop (not to mention roughly 4-5 hours yesterday, I’m guessing so maybe longer) and I can honestly say as the story evolved I had to keep going. The ending that I got literally made me put my hand over my mouth thinking “what the hell just happened!!!”. Detroit becoming human has so much content that you can repeat it several times and get different outcomes and endings. Once you finish a chapter it will show you the path you chose and a lock of the path you didn’t choose. You have to find the locked path on your next play! Each path you unlock gives you points which you can spend unlocking character models, music, magazines, art work and videos. This game is so well done that even the menu has an Android that interacts with you, coming back after playing it the Android will talk saying welcome back and reminding you that characters can die. You get questions asked which you answer, a questionnaire asking if you would trust androids or let them look after your kids and so on. I honestly cannot reccomend this game enough, the demo shows off the controls and how the game works so I would give it a go. But keep in mind that it is the opening sequence and it does get sooo much more interesting. Amazing story, characters, graphics and replay value. If you don’t mind the button mashing and quick time events I would buy this game.

Gioco molto divertente, dove in base alle scelte che si compiono la storia si sviluppa in una maniera o nell'altra. Questa funzione fa in modo che il gioco possa essere giocato diverse volte senza annoiarsi mai.
