The lenses actually looked purple and cheap. I have the Native Kodiak sunglasses with neutral gray lenses and they are clear. I liked the frame style of the Andes just not the blue lenses. They are very comfortable and well made. We live in Florida and so they get worn daily. I have the blue lenses in both pairs and occasionally put in the lighter lenses for overcast days. I originally bought them for cycling, but they're so comfortable and give such good protection from the sun that I wear them whenever I'm outdoors or in the car. Pretty much useless other then in the winter.
