The recording's production is first class, this is an Audiophile quality recording, and is probably one of the best "sounding" albums I have heard in years.The songs are engaging and varied, although they all broadly fall in to the Jazz category (which is wide in itself). Luisa's years at Berklee College of Music in Boston where obviously not wasted, the orchestration and compositions display consummate skill.This is a very enjoyable album, enhanced by the inclusion of a number of songs sung in Portuguese;, however, the majority of the album is in English. There is a lot of warmth in the lyrics and music, some tracks harking back to Jazz classics of the 1930's to 1950's. I can't help but think that she he has a lot in common with Amy Winehouse vocally, though her songs are not as personal and pained as Amy's, Luisa is more of a story teller.The standout tracks are numerous, "Xico" is straight out of caberet Jazz reminiscent of Carmen Miranda, "Clementine" reminds me of early Rickie Lee Jones. The opening track "I would Love Too" sets the mood for what's to come well and is followed by the charming "Not There Yet", where Luisa begins as if giving a piano lesson to a young child.
