You will appreciate the amount of light you get.... go for it! **Q: can I use it in landscape lighting applications, when using the standard base? It says 9 watts put I measured 7 watts on the one that I installed. It seems to be about as bright as a 60 Watt incandescent, and a lot brighter than the 11 watt CFL that it replaced. 7 watts verses the 11 watts that the CFL bulb that it replaced made a world of difference on the solar system performance. It gave me about an entire day of extra rainy-day battery reserve capacity.
