Some of my firearms don’t have a traditional rail and have no locking notch. Fortunately this light has a removable locking lug and it fits those firearms perfectly. In the package you also get a variety of locking lugs for different rail types. At 500 lumens, the brightness is perfect for the use case as I am not trying to light up a football field. Review: Fits my springfield hellcat pro perfectly. Bright, with a good throw. Hold the switch for momentary light or tap for it to stay on. The extra weight even made my gun shoot a bit flatter. I don't know how long the battery last as I will only need it for a few minutes.
