These outdoor light posts are exactly what we have been looking for. They are tall and beautiful, can firmly hold the string lights, are easy to install, and can be securely placed in the soil around the courtyard. They are perfect for our courtyard and work very well. They are durable and easy to insert into the ground, with a neat and clean appearance. They are an ideal and cost-effective alternative.

I really like these poles. First, they're compact for storage, as I won't use them all the time and need to be stored away routinely. Next, the length is somewhat variable. Need a long pole or a short one? Each section is about 16 inches in length. The bottom section has the ground stakes. So, if you only have that piece and the top piece with the two hooks on it, you have a pole about 2 feet tall. If use all the sections for each pole, then the result is about 10 feet of height. Where to put them is based on the soil as the poles has four prongs and the main pole capable of easily being pushed into the ground. My first use of these poles was to hang my service flags (USN and ASAF) in front of the Stars and Stripes in my front yard for the 4th of July. The ability to adjust the heights allowed for these flags to stand appropriately below the American flag. the simpleness of pushing the pole into the ground allowed for a quick positioning and at the end of the day a quick breakdown of the display. These poles will be used next for Halloween when we will string up the flashing LEDs along the driveway and alleviate the need to string them on the trees. The seller has also provided clamps and mounting hardware for securing the poles against a wall, if desired. The ability to take them up and down easily, adjust the heights as desired and move them to any desired location has made this a great purchase and one I plan on probably adding to in the near future.

Wanted to like these and they seemed easy enough to put together, but it didn’t work for what we were trying to achieve. I’m sure these poles are good for stringing lights in a straight line, but trying to string up with an elevation….the poles start bending. We tried stringing our 100 ft plastic globe string lights from our 2 story roof down to our yard and the weight from the elevation was too much for these poles. While the poles did stay upright, they were bending which could have been a safety hazard had they snapped or torn from the ground, so we opted to take them down. Maybe we’ll find a different use for them. I’ve included a picture of my roofline down to my yard (where the poles were), for reference. Hope this helps for anyone trying to string lights from a 2 story home and wondering if these will hold the weight.

I was worried they wouldn’t hold up a string of lights well since the bottom tines aren’t very long but they work well. Easy to get in the ground and back out for winter. I needed one pole on the patio so I placed it in a large planter and it worked quite well. The poles come in sections so they don’t all have to be the same length. Used the all summer and no signs of rust.

Bought these poles looking for a way to hang lights up in my backyard, simple and easy to use, they seem sturdy enough on their own, but do lean a bit. They've stayed in place through two hale storms and rough flash floods, the sleek black look looks nice and they are relatively affordable. Would recommend.
