It was fairly easy to put together and it is really sturdy. The toilet seat is padded. I haven’t used it as a bedside commode but it includes a bucket and lid to do so. It is height adjustable. the arm rails are padded as well. it has a side storage bag to store reading material. It holds toilet paper as well but I assume that it more handy when using it as a bedside commode.
