How does this work? Can simply wire in a uk plug for power and wire in the wires from the heating appliance?

They are relatively easy to wire up. But not as simple as just putting a plug on it. There are several YouTube videos on the subject. I will say, they are a fantastic bit of kit.

I would like to only put out aprox 0.2~0.3 a on the heating output. can i regulate this somehow? i allready put a fuse on thr cable out aprox 0.2 a.

The current is dependent on the load you apply on the output connection. So 48 watts at 240 volts would give you a 0.2 amp current on the output connection. And 72 watts at 240 volts would give you 0.3 amp current on the output connection. The device is a switch not a power supply.

Yes it can turn devices on or off when a certain temperature is reached. Don't forget about the tolerance setting otherwise it will be constantly switching on and off. The manual is a poor Chinese translation.
