It is shipped from a small country in Western Africa- its area of origin. Hibiscus sabdariffa aka Roselle is a tropical plant and is grown commercially in tropical areas around the world. It can over-winter where I live in San Diego in warm protected areas so I have grown some for fun but not enough for all that I use. It is very popular here and all over the world. I like to add grated fresh ginger, cinnamon and a bit of citrus juice like lemon, lime, orange or tangerine.
