Even Better than his Book on Canine Massage
I have his Canine Massage book as well, which helped me achieve my diploma in Canine Myotherapy, so am looking at this one, to perhaps progress into the equine world of myotherapy as well. I think I have to say this is even better than the canine version. Excellent descriptions, methods, advice. Well worth it.

A Solid Academic Reference with Real-World Utility
I originally purchased this book for a class back in 2019, and it has remained a consistent reference on my shelf ever since. In my opinion, it serves as an excellent textbook for students, but it is also a valuable resource for any horse owner who wants a deeper understanding of their animal's physical well-being. The book features a mix of older photographs showing massage therapists demonstrating actual techniques on horses, which are quite clear and easy to follow. These are paired with detailed scientific diagrams of equine bone structure and muscular anatomy that are great for study. One minor drawback is that some of the drawn illustrations of hand techniques lack a bit of context, which can make it harder to figure out exactly what the illustrator is trying to convey. Overall, this is a great reference guide, though I think hands-on learners might find it most effective when paired with a practical class to really put the concepts into practice.
