What surprised me most was how much I ended up using the low-light tritium mode. I actually turned it on by accident at first and quickly realized how insanely useful it is—perfect for situations where you are going to put it down in the dark environments and want to be able to locate it quickly. The only downside is the control scheme. There’s a fairly high number of multi-click commands, which can take a couple tries to get right. For example, the lockout function requires eight clicks to activate, which isn’t very intuitive and takes some getting used to. That said, once you’re familiar with the controls, this is a fantastic, high-quality light that I reach for often. Would definitely recommend it if you don’t mind a short learning curve.
