Both are long scale basses at 34.5" (88cm) from nut to bridge. When stringing either bass, the longest string from bridge to nut is the D string. I tend to cut around 4" (10cm) off the length of this string to create three turns on the binding post of the tuner for the D string. The other strings require more than this to be cut to suitable length. So, in summary, at around 52" length uncut, I'd say these strings are likely to be long enough for your 'through body' bass. BTW: these strings have fantastic depth of tone, really cut through the mix, plus really fast and smooth to play for round wounds. Oh, and they keep their tone for yonks. But that's one of the main selling points for Elixir of course.
