Absolutely love this. It not only keeps the scissors handy but it’s also pretty cute.

A fantastic way of keeping scissors on your desk or, like I do, on the entry table to open all my Amazon packages. I love that it's a flat point so it feels safer.

The scissors fall over too easily. You have to place them just “right “.

As a pair of scissors, it’s not as good as my kitchen shears. The tip is very dull. And when I cut something harder, it’s easy to pinch my middle finger because it closes with overlap.

They’re pretty, in a weird artsy way, and the magnetic base and box opener are a neat idea. But if you use the scissors to cut paper, i.e. what they were meant to do, you will have a problem. While they cut perfectly fine along the body of the blades, if you fully close the handles, the scissors will tear the paper a 1/4” perpendicular to your cutting line, ruining the cut and whatever it is you’re trying to preserve. I contacted HMM and they told me this: “It's designed for regular use like simply cutting papers, may not for precise cutting.” Well I don’t know what “simply cutting” is, but for $50 these are basically a statement as they do not function as scissors. Make sure you have a $3 pair to go along with this piece of modern art for when you need to cut stuff.

I bought these from the manufacturer and paid 60 bucks. I haven't felt this ripped off since I ordered shoes from China and they sent me cardboard shoes. Much lighter weight than it looks and priced waaaay too high. I'd expect them to be around 15 bucks. They don't cut well either. Seems they put more money into the fancy packaging than the actual scissors Zero stars
