It has three settings; clean, pores and heated wrinkles. I use it with my nightly washing routine and vitamin C serum and I see a marked improvement with the texture of my skin. It is doing something to my skin, but I am not sure what that is. My skin feels very moist after the three rounds of light, followed by lotion. I can not tell if it is causing my face to secrete extra oil or what it is doing. I am still trying to look into that.The tool has 3 modes of light and vibrates when rubbed on your skin. The vibration is not my favorite; it tickles in parts. It feels like one of those cheap back massagers.I am unsure how to use this best, as I found the instructions confusing.The device's handle is shaped for your palm, making it easy and comfortable to hold. However, I find myself constantly hitting the power button mid-round. Each round of light has a timer set for a couple of minutes, and it automatically shuts off. It beeps when there is a minute or so left so you know to finish up if you neglected any areas. I meant to time it, but I'd get distracted and forget. The three rounds last around 10 minutes, at most 15.It holds a charge well.
