    Disappointing

This book was such a disappointment.  Firstly, it was published before the benefits of a low-FODMAP diet for IBS sufferers was discovered, which means the book is filled with high FODMAP ingredients (for example onion and garlic).  Secondly, the recipes are very much geared to an American audience, with lots of ingredients and recipes that aren't to British taste.  This is going straight to the charity shop, I'm afraid.

I was lent this book by a friend who like me has suffered with ibs for many years. I found it so helpful that I straight away ordered my own copy. I have tried many books and yes some have helped but this is a gem! I am already feeling better and am determined to follow the advice given. Really worth every penny spent. I can't thank my friend enough. I managed to get a very reasonably priced used book which was an added bonus, but would have been willing to pay full price.
