Has anyone else had this problem?** A: I've gone through 3 of these now, none will power on. I took the last one apart. They use 4 Blackberry NX1 batteries, and in the unit I examined they were all at 0.05V - well under the low voltage threshold. I'm guessing that since Google isn't making more of these Google Home devices, we're down to old stock on these bases and the batteries are arriving so dead that the control electronics won't charge them. **Q: Can I always leave this plugged in ???** A: Yes - the Loft was designed to have the Google Home power supply plugged in all the time. Unplug when you want portability. **Q: Can you turn this off so it doesn’t kill the battery if you don’t need it on?** A: There is a power button for the battery base. Since the power supply runs thru the battery base to the Google. If you turn the base off then Google will be off. **Q: Can I use it in Europe (220 volts)?** A: This is 110 volts you may damage it with the higher power ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Should have bought this sooner *by N***R on 28 June 2018* Great looking item (bought the copper version) that does exactly what it says on the tin.Changed my google home from a static location device to use wherever required. We transfer it to the bathroom so I can listen to music in there without having to run the power chord out of the door. Works flawlessly in our garden too and anywhere within reach of our WiFi signal.Haven't used it for an extended period of time yet (about 1-2 hours so far) so cannot comment on the total hours, but for what we need it for, it is great.Only issue I can foresee are the 4 battery indicator lights. Whilst useful, if in a place like the bedroom, will need to be covered or they will light up the room.Bought for less than £40 at the time so seemed a reasonable expense for the new portability. ### ⭐ It doesn't charge & doesn't turn on Item defective. I can now drop the connecting power cable and move the speaker around the house and even onto the decking outside to keep my music and the radio going seemlessly. Esthetically pleasing too.Not too sure about the battery life at present as I have tended to use its portability for short periods only.
