The only function for this as I can tell is the Auto retract function which I did not like anyway. Installed switch with some mounting mods as old switch was round and new is somewhat square. Drexel and about 10 min fixed that. Functional ck is great and works normal and again without auto retract. My boat was previously modified before I purchased is so connections were “ butt spliced” I followed the same routine but used weather resistant butt splices. They actually heat shrink around the insulation in the wire and make for a good connection. May not work for all but great and somewhat simple for me Thanks **Q: Does this switch kit require a controller or is it built in to the switch?** A: It’s just plug and play **Q: How long are the leads on the switches ?** A: roughly 2 feet. They have the Duetsche connectors which are great, water proof and easy in and out but if you don't have them on the other side no help. **Q: how wide is the top of the switch? How wide does the cut out hole need to be?** A: I believe it is 2 1/4" square.
