This is amazing. The first vent holder i think will actually hold up. Its secure and doesn't flop around and fall out. The clamp that holds the phone is very secure as well. Very happy with this purchase. Now I dont have to worry about magnets that never seem strong enough to hold the phone on the vent car holder. It also has 2 rotating joints that click down as you secure them. The range of motion of the 2 joints means you can put the phone in any position for the best view

"Dancing Cranes Adventures" is running this tablet holder/mount in a 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser with a 8-inch Samsung Galaxy tablet. We have now traveled many miles much of it on very rough backroads (and offroad), rocky, steep, washboarded, etc. The mount stays right where we put it with negligible vibration. This is important since it is our primary navigation device (along with paper maps). The only thing we have to be careful of is running the heater through those vents when the tablet is mounted. Heat shortens tablet battery life, so we divert the heat to the floor when the tablet is mounted. We used to mount the tablet on top of the dash. This mount is much better as it places the table out of the window which is better for the view, and better for the tablet since it gets it out of the direct sun, which, again, is bad for the tablet battery. It is also at better view-level and angle (which can be adjusted to perfection). We also use the mount for our cell phone with equal ease. "Dancing Cranes Adventures" can recommend this tablet mount without any reservations.

This car mount is exactly what I needed for my Galaxy Z Fold. I’ve used it with the Z Fold 6 (also tested with older Fold models), and it holds the phone extremely firmly without any wobble, even on bumpy roads. The grip is strong and secure, which is very important for heavier foldable phones. I really like that it does NOT block the air vent. The mounting design is smart and keeps the phone stable while still allowing proper airflow from the vents. The clamp opens wide enough to fit large devices, including Z Fold 7/6/5/4/3/2, iPhone Pro Max models, Samsung S25 Ultra, and even an iPad mini, which is impressive.

Everything people have said is pretty true. It's plastic but feels sturdy. No directions with it but easy to figure out. Leave the two parts seperate until after you get the base hooked and tightened to the vent blade. It fit on my vent well and the phone doesn't block it since it has the extender rod. It seems stable with the phone in the holder both closed and unfolded. The spring loader is very strong so it takes both hands to pull it apart, but it holds the phone strongly. However, it tends to pinch me as the phone slips out so pay attention to your hand position. If you wanted to hold the phone while driving, it would be very difficult to detach it with one hand. Pull over. I was able to put a 2nd "Messages" icon on my large fold out screen of my Galaxy Z Fold 7 so I shouldn't need to hold it. It will be nice to use the Google Maps navigation on my fold out screen. I purchased a Android Auto/Apple Play portable oblong screen but could not come up with a mount that didn't block my view, block my settings screen or block the air vents, so I returned it. This is a decent compromise.

Crap. Didn’t stick to dash at all. No suction. Sticky stuff not strong enough. Just kept falling over. Didn’t return hoping I could shimmy it up somehow. Still a problem.

This mount is convenient for daily driving. It keeps the phone steady and within view without blocking airflow. Build quality feels solid and works as expected

I need this for my work. I volunteer with the local Sheriff's Office and needed something to hold my phone, which I use as a GPS, plus backup calls to dispatch that I need to be hand-free to make. I put it on the AC vent, and it worked for two shifts. Then, it just kept falling off, and even pulled one of the slats off my patrol vehicle.. This is not made for heavier phones, as I have the Z Fold 5. I never used it again, so maybe it works better with smaller phones. It did stretch to fit mine, though, and it comes with everything you need. Just not for me.

Die Halterung ist relativ Stramm, wenn man diese aufzieht und ein Smartphone einklemmen möchte. Mein Fold 6 traue ich mich aber nicht aufgefaltet dort einzuklemmen. Ansonsten hält die sehr gut und stabil

I purchased this 3 months ago now for my Samsung Fold. This supports the weight and allows the phone to be opened or closed on the holder, and it holds all my other phones. It's a perfect design, it clips into the vent, you tighten it and it's never fallen off, I can adjust my phone while it's on the holder to move it toward me or turn the phone sideways without it loosening up. The holder has never fallen off the vent and my phone has never fallen off the holder, it doesn't damage the vent at all, it's well made, Its been a great purchase. It does make it more difficult to adjust the air flow for the vent your using for the holder but that's the only thing I can say that isn't positive. 10 stars.
