For that purpose, the belt in general doesn't excel, but it doesn't disappoint either. Unless you have two dogs that walk a straight line, you are going to be constantly readjusting the belt and the clips to prevent it from getting all twisted. But short of some sort of complicated swivel system, that's going to be a problem for any belt.As a leash, this one has the benefit of being slightly 'firm.' It has a normal amount of flexibility, but holds its shape a little bit.
