Newding Solar Panel Compatible with Simplisafe Outdoor Camera

Checked after mounting 5.6 volts listed as great. Small easy to use, looked solid. Happy so far using on Simplisafe outside camera.

It works perfectly with my Simplisafe camera. Our camera faces our front door, so the motion detection drains the batter pretty fast. So this was the perfect solution! It's not in direct sunlight all day, but the few hours of charge it gives is perfect to keep the battery up since the battery already holds a good charge. It was easy to mount, and it holds up well even in bad weather.

The rechargeable battery in my SimpliSafe system camera required that I get the ladder and climb up to the camera every 4 to 6 weeks, remove the battery and recharge it. This solar panel has solved that problem completely. I've had it for a couple months now and the battery always indicates 100%. I didn't need the mount that came with the panel, as I just laid it flat on the roof of my patio cover and plugged it into the camera mounted under the cover. I held it in place with a dab of silicone. It began working immediately. Time will tell how long it lasts. BTW - living in the S.W. we get lots of sun and little rain - so perfect conditions for this device.

Absolutely terrible product that completely fails to deliver on its promises. I purchased this solar panel specifically to work with my Simplisafe system, and it has been nothing but a disappointment from day one.The build quality is shockingly poor - the plastic housing feels cheap and brittle, with connection points that never quite line up properly with my Simplisafe equipment. Installation was frustrating due to vague instructions and mounting hardware that seemed designed for completely different devices.Performance is the biggest issue - despite placing the panel in a location with direct sunlight for most of the day, it barely charges my Simplisafe devices at all. Battery levels continue to drain almost as if the solar panel isn't even connected. I've tried multiple positioning adjustments with no improvement.The cable length is inadequate for practical installation, forcing compromises in panel placement that further reduce its already poor efficiency. Weather resistance also appears questionable - after just one moderate rainstorm, there were visible signs of moisture inside the panel housing.Customer service was unhelpful when I reached out with these issues, suggesting I must be using it incorrectly despite following their installation guide precisely.Save your money and either purchase the official Simplisafe solar accessories or stick with regular battery replacements. This third-party option is completely unreliable and a waste of both time and money.

They charge the camera, but it doesn't show it's charging on the app. It only shows that the camera is fully charged. However, they are fully compatible, pretty decent quality, and the cable is plenty long enough for any application.They are far better than the "simply safe" solar chargers in the fact that the mounts are far superior to the overpriced parts you would buy from the manufacturer recommended chargers.I'd like to mention battery life and how they solar charge the battery, as well as their compatibility, but time will tell.I will update throughout the life of the product.
