Love it! I am going to use it a lot. I needed a tall vase type thing to hold my scrub brushes next to my sink. I slip a towel through the tail. I use it as a fun container to water my plants. I don’t use pitchers often but it could be used for that also.

It Glug-Glugs when you pour it. What else can you ask for?

Not quite sure how I ran into this on Amazon, but I thought it was adorable and fun. I had also recently visited the UK and the historic nostalgia of the design had me sold. I chose the duck egg color because it matched jadite pieces in my kitchen. The jug is a good size, but I was disappointed in the quality of the glaze on the ceramic pitcher. It’s thin in places and has numerous dark flecks in the lighter color glaze. One of the main dark spots in the glaze is right on the pouring lip of the fish and the glaze is rough/thin at mouth corners. I will have to be careful to not put dark beverages in it that could stain it. I am kind of surprised given the price that that type of glaze defect made it thru quality control. The jug has to be filled a specific way to produce the “glug” sound, and just to be clear, you don’t hear the sound until after you have poured a few glasses. I still like the cute design overall, but given the price it should have a nice lustrous glaze and certainly no defects in prominent spots at the pouring spout.

This is the second one I’ve given as a gift and we all love it! It’s a great size and the sound is fun!

The novelty (for me) of this style jug was the “gluggle” or “gurgle” noise they’re supposed make while pouring. This doesn’t do “that” very well. You only get the gurgle if you’re pouring it out at its max volume - and who does that when pouring a drink? I purchased this as a X-Mas gift - but after receiving? - after testing? - I was too disappointed to give it. I wasn’t so disappointed as to warrant returning it though. It just didn’t meet my expectations. It’d make a really pretty vase, though the intended receiver didn’t need another vase - she “needed” a water jug - and I’d hoped (at 91 yo) she’d get a smile out of the noise it made - or was supposed to make. The design (eyes, scales, tail) are well defined. The workmanship, glazing, and its materials seem of high quality - more porcelain than just basic ceramics. It sits flat when set on the countertop - no wobble. I really would recommend this if the “gurgle” novelty isn’t the biggest feature you’re looking for.

Sieht schön aus, hat aber für einen Wasserkrug die ungeschickte Eigenschaften nicht nur oben (wo man es braucht), sondern auch am Boden undicht zu sein. Klar, beim Einschenken geht schon mal ein Tröpfchen daneben - die Seenbildung um den Krug herum erklärt das allerdings nicht. Gluckert auch nur dann, wenn der Füllstand recht hoch ist. Schade! Leider hat sich der Mangel erst spät gezeigt. Wenige Tage nach meiner Rezension meldete sich der Kundenservice und bot an, einen neuen Fischkübel als Ersatz zu schicken. Kam nach zwei Tagen an und prangt jetzt neben seinem undichten Bruder. Sehr freundlicher Kontakt und höchst zufriedenstellend, auch lange nach Ablauf der üblichen Fristen. Vielen Dank an James!

Someone at work mentioned these, how they 'glug' when you pour them. So i bought one for a colleague who was leaving. Great item, no complaints. Might treat myself to one!
