My conclusion was, I should wait another year or so, for something that's really sophisticated, to come on to the market. In the meantime, I gave a try on this one. Nothing fancy, but just having your speed floating on your windshield does make you a more careful driver. Forget the navigation and voice control, motion control all that, just having your speed appear on the windshield is a whole new experience of everyday driving. It's a double image, so you will need that non reflective film, otherwise it can give you headache. Really simple to install. Speed adjustment setting is set at 108. Better change that setting to 102 otherwise HUD speed indicates about 3-5 mph higher than your actual speedometer. Setting is not that difficult as some reviewers say, at least to me. My car 2014 Maserati Quattroporte, and it took 5 minutes to install. I ordered another one for my wife's car today. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Works well, most of the time. *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2018* Its a bit buggy, sometimes it freezes or just wont power on. Unplugging it ant plugging back in fixes it though. Once the correction factor is set (mine is 60 for miles per hour) it is relatively accurate across the whole speedometer range. The only real complain was the random warning beeps, the beep would happen at intermittent speeds; some times 60, then 55, then 22, then 33, etc, without any flashing lights or other indicators. I finally just unsoldered the tine speaker.Update: After 2 months the thing has to be unplugged every use just to get it to function. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Almost a good product. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2018* Where to start with this thing...Pros: clean display, mine is set to show speed only, which is precisely what I wanted.Sharp image without reflective filmFairly simple to calibrateCompact and easy to installFlat cable made install much cleanerCONS: the control system is HORRIFIC and makes the simplest task take far longer than it needs too.The control knob (lever?) on mine gets stuck in the down position if I don’t adjust it just right.It DOES NOT turn off automatically on my car.The instructions are a joke and in some of the worst broken English I have ever read. I was eventually able to get it working once I figured out what the instructions were trying to convey.To be honest, I did not buy this because it was cheap. I bought it because it was one of the only ones that had a clean display with speed only and projected onto the windshield as opposed to having to stick some unsightly box on my dash. With that being said, the quality is OK, But judging from the reviews, can vary wildly. Mine seems a bit worse than what I would expect from a Chinese company that is selling this sort of thing for the lowest possible price. I felt like I might break the cord just plugging it in. And the control knob gets stuck and takes some serious getting used to before you stop hitting it in random directions as you try to move it up and down and press it straight in to select an option.Seems they can be hit or miss. Overall, I actually like it once I got past the point of having to touch the controls. I won’t be returning it.
