Combined with Motorad 656-195 thermostat (desertcart $21), both these items solved my leaking thermostat housing. In my photos, the new combo is on the right. The last picture shows it wet underneath the thermostat housing but that is from the removal of the old one. Some may say to use a gasket but i didn't and it's not needed. Also remember to "burp" the coolant system ! i tried the funnel kit but it did not seal with it's rad cap, so i had to run the engine , with the rad cap off, for 15-20 minutes to get the air out (this is the messy way of doing it). Highly recommend.
