I've had this book for a while and I was holding on to it as its a two parter. I was going to try and prolong the read, but once I started I couldn't put it down. I loved Josh, I hated Josh, I cried for Josh, I cheered for Josh. At 17 Josh becomes a dad, not just a dad, but a single dad, and for 3 years he rocks the position on his own, with no help from his parents or Tommy's mum. He forgoes his dream of pro-skating and raises Tommy, with the help of some fantastic friends. Then Becca comes into their lives, and she rocks their world. Things are good for a few months, there are a few hiccups that need working through, but I was sure that eventually they would work through them. Communication definitely needed to factor higher in their relationship. Then Tommy's mum turns up, and things turn bad, very bad. Roll on book 2, Coast, I need Josh and Becca to get the HEA they so deserve. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐️Consuming⭐️ *by M***C on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 April 2016* Oh my gosh! This book was not what I was expecting, I've never read a book by Jay McLean and it certainly will not be the last. I'm not sure what I expected but this is not a run of the mill angsty new adult romance. This book was just amazing, it was all consuming, emotional, heartbreaking and just brilliant.Josh and Becca both have their own issues that they are dealing with. Josh being a single dad hasn't been easy on him and Becca has had an extremely difficult childhood to contend with. But somehow together they fit, they make each other whole again........well at least for a while. Your heart bleeds for these two, it aches for them, for their sorrow, hurt and emotional pain.The pain and the emotional burdens Becca and Josh each carry is almost palpable, pushing its way out of the pages demanding to be felt on some level. It's raw and gripping. The ending, well I'm not quite over that just yet, I need the next book.....like right away.This book touches upon some really difficult topics that some readers may find distressing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I loved every word - kick push coast !!!! *by K***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 May 2016* I can't remember the last night I read a book in a day but this book had me from the start.
