I'm about 4 months into owning these, and the gold has definitely rubbed off on most of the pieces. it's not the best look, but also not the worst. I half expected the gold to chip or flake away, but it's sort of rubbed off in the most used part of the silverware (for example, the dipped part of the spoon is now mostly silver, but the sides and handle of the spoon is still gold. I think these are a great choice if you're really intent on having gold silverware (without breaking the bank), but just know they won't stay gold forever.I will caveat this review by saying I have not been the most delicate with these (I've left them soaking in the sink for a couple hours, and put them in the dishwasher).
