However I found this tool useless as the jaws continually slipped off the nut no matter what I tried. I sent it off to Goodwill and bought a different style ring remover. Aloha **Q: does that little bottom section in the picture slide off to leave only the "pin" ? (others on line show 2 pics with that part separate)** A: If I understand your question, the section you refer to separates from the tool. The part in question goes into the copper line. The outer arms pull the compression ring of the line. **Q: Can this remove the HF impeller?** A: I don't know but this tool is absolutely worthless. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This tool works for removing compression sleeving *by D***E on June 28, 2021* I'm not quite sure how others are using this, but this tool worked on removing the compression sleeves for a sink in my 1964 home. I don't think I did anything special... just followed the instructions.1. Insert the bit that goes into the pipe... into the pipe.2. Insert the tool into the bit.3. Clamp the jaws around the compression nut.4. Start twisting the handle - this uses the nut to slide the compression sleeve off of the pipe...Regarding removing the sleeve from the bit afterwards: I mean, you used the tool to utilize the compression nut to slide the sleeve off... so you just flip the nut around and use it to slide it off the bit. I guess they didn't exactly outline that in the instructions but it seemed like common sense to me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awkward at best to remove a phister faucet handle. *by D***T on April 9, 2025* Could not remove a corroded on single handle to a phister faucet, so I bought this thing. Kind of awkward to use the arms to grab the faucet and to twist and pull up.
