NYE and the 4th of July are always the worst days for her. She isn’t a skittish cat, but the fireworks scare her to death. She usually hides under the bed until the explosives stop. This year, with the collar was the best! There was very little hiding and she calmly walked around the house and let me pet her all while the fireworks went off.The next day, I put the collar on my 9lb cat. She isn’t afraid of fireworks not that there were any the next day. I just wanted to give her a little more zen. Well, the collar did not have the same affect. For her it was like catnip times 10. I took the collar off and she treated the collar like a toy. She rubbed her head on it, rolled around on it and chewed it a bit. When I tried to take it away, she nipped me. She’s chasing my other cat around the house to playfully attack her.I’m wondering if their differences in their weight played a factor as to how it affected them? It could be too potent for a smaller cat.I’ll buy this again. For me it’s great. I have had or fostered more than 30 cats, and not a single ONE of them was calmed down by catnip. A few don't react at all, but 90% of cats spaz out when exposed to catnip. If this actually works for your cat, you are in the minority.Excuse me while I go break up some cats fighting over the packaging for this collar which they pulled out of the trash. ### ⭐⭐ Strangulation hazard beware! *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2018* I don't think it worked at all. Didn't see a difference in behaviour. But worse I felt like the product was unsafe. There's no mechanism to break away should the cat get the collar caught on anything and this could be fatal. The cat could get strangled. I had an incident where she was hissing at foster cat and it wasn't as tight as it should have been so her mouth got under the collar and she couldn't close her mouth. She couldn't stop hissing or drooling on herself. She's also sick now. She won't eat and has been throwing up. I took it off her the other day.
