**Q: Can i use it for live performance?**
A: Hi! YES UOU CAN! and it even runs on battery, just in case someone trips over the power cable. It’s a great unit and you can get a cheap solid-state drive and put it in yourself and expand your sound options. I got a 1 GB drive pretty cheaply on Amazon. Make sure you look on the website to see what external drives are compatible. It has 16 GB of memory which may be OK for a small live performance, but you’ll probably want to upgrade the internals drive. Great unit! And it also really sounds amazing! Good luck and make great music ! This is worth buying.. One last thing… If you are going to take it lives, it’s not that expensive to buy the protected travel case. You don’t want to spend this kind of money and diamonds it. Spend the extra few dollars and get the protected travel case…

**Q: I have a mpc studio can i open those files with the mpc one?**
A: Hi, Akai Pro support here! Yes, MPC One and MPC Studio will recognize MPC projects, programs, and sequences made with earlier versions of the software and even older MPC hardware project and program formats!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent MPC, But a New Version Arrived Weeks Later

The MPC Key 37 is an excellent piece of gear. The workflow is intuitive, the sounds are fantastic, and having standalone production combined with a keyboard makes it incredibly inspiring to use. It feels well built and is a great choice for anyone wanting to sketch ideas or produce complete tracks without relying on a computer. My only disappointment has nothing to do with the product itself. Just a few weeks after I bought it, Akai announced the MPC Key 37 Mk2. It's frustrating to invest in new hardware only to see a replacement released so soon, especially when there was no indication at the time that a new version was imminent. That aside, the MPC Key 37 is still a great instrument, and I'd happily recommend it.
