**Q: How to store if in an emergency and everything is tossed around and seconds count. I see the bright orange color but where does it stay?**
A: I think most people would keep an item like this in the center console or the glove box on the driver's side door.  It does come with a secure mount that could be secured pretty much anywhere in your vehicle with screws or double-stick tape (not included) if you're worried about it getting tossed around in an emergency.

**Q: Is the red button at base of clamp for release?**
A: That orange dot is decorative. You just pull it off of base.

**Q: How much force must I have to break a window?**
A: The design of the tool here is key. See the little "nub" at the tip of the hammer? That is the secret. A child can actually use this to break a car window. Search for GLASS BREAKING TOOL on you tube to see the physics of it. These are very effective and often carried by emergency workers because they are more effective than a hammer or crowbar at breaking safety glass.

**Q: will this also work on office windows effectively**
A: High rise building window glass is very thick (triple pane or more) and made to withstand heavy "hits" from most anything. Panels are about 300 + lbs and designed to take a wind force of 100+ mph. Doubtful it would work.

The items felt sturdy and, having used the hammer on a piece of glass, can testify that it would very likely be enough to break a car window, if needed to. The item is small enough to fit in the door panel of my friends car, who it was bought for, so hopefully easy enough to reach, should the need arise.
