Review: Happy with it, family even happier! - I waited a long time before writing this review because I wanted to make sure I could say something beyond the honeymoon stage. Now I'm finally ready to do so. This machine has turned out to be a blessing. Sure, it has its quirks like any other automatic appliance. For instance, the suction cups that should secure it to a counter surface aren't that strong (more on that later), but at least it does what it offers. Now, I need to inform you that while the basic white bread process renders the most delicious bread on earth, the whole wheat was a disaster. I will take responsibility for it, because machines aren't smart enough to fail on their own. I liked that I can add stuff or replace it and the machine keeps on going (I learned to use oil instead of butter, real milk instead of powdered milk, and to add raisins or cranberries to my white bread). Good things: timer reliability, very good dough kneading, crust baking, ease to prepare bread and to remove loaf at the end. Not too satisfactory (but then, this may be because of other factors): whole wheat bread was a disaster, and so was trying to make a baguette dough. It just didn't rise, but I'm taking responsibility because I must have made a mistake. Now, the funny story (back to the suction cups): I got used to set up the machine at 10 or 11 o'clock the night before to wake up to freshly baked bread. This machine is good at it. However, when it's in the kneading cycle it almost dances... and the last time I left it to work overnight, it danced... and fell to the floor. Disaster: the dough was on the floor (salvageable), and the machine lost its lid (broken hinge). Here's the nice part: I contacted the manufacturer. They requested that I sent them a photo of the damaged machine. I did, and their reply was to offer me a new one, free of charge, as a courtesy—yet, with the severe admonition that I should never leave the machine unattended. Why make it programmable then? In any case, if the machine performance was quite satisfactory and the bread was loved by my whole family, now I can add a word about Cuisinart: they really stand by their product. The machine was so tough that even with a broken hinge it still made good bread! Needless to say, I'm continuing using this machine and can recommend it because of its ease of use, bread quality (at least the white bread) and good results.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this cuisinart 110 model make the annoying loud beep (to add nuts) a lot of people complain about for the cuisinart cbk 100 model?**
A: 'Loud' is relative and since I don't have the 100 model to compare to my 110 all I can state is that the machine does 'beep' on occasion to allow the user (you/me) to either add an ingredient or remove the dough in order to remove the kneading blade; however, the 'beeps' that i've heard aren't any louder than my coffee machine alerting me that my coffee is ready (a very welcome 'beep').

My microwave beeps relatively loud but I don't think the Cuisinart 110 bread machine beeps or does anything loud and it makes great bread and pizza dough.

**Q: Does it have a gluten free setting ?**
A: It does! Our bread machine arrived 2 days ago. I took a pic of the GF multigrain recipe, left my daughter to read through the instructions, and dashed to the store to get ingredients. Three hours later, we were enjoying warm bread. Perfect GF loaf - absolutely the first time we've ever used a bread machine. Total time for a std 2 lb loaf of whole wheat is 4 hrs, 10 mins. The GF setting reduces time to 2 hrs, 15 mins so dough will not be overmixed or over kneaded.

**Q: Does the machine have non skid feet?**
A: Yes, it has rubber feet. However, mine bounces about quite a bit when kneading. It's not great.

**Q: What is the wattage of this appliance ? Thank you**
A: 550 watts. I think this power is too low, I have difficulty using it to bake darker breads, and when making larger breads, I will also encounter undercooked conditions, and the power is not enough.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall just excellent
*by B***E on May 25, 2026*

I’ve reviewed numerous bread maker reviews all over the internet and after many hours of watching what users had to say, I decided on the cuisinart compact bread machine. I am just baking bread for myself so I did not need a 3lbs loaf machine. My eyes were on the Zujirushi 1lbs mini but it is double the price of the cuisinart compact. Now; the cuisinart compact is pretty small and I was happily surprised to actually see it on my very limited counter space. Stainless still housing makes it look very professional. Baking; very easy to use functions and not one problem with any recipe. Wow. I was more than impressed. Absolutely. Makes fantastic 1lbs loaves but is suited for all 1, 1.5 and 2 lbs loaves. I tried all sides and all came out fantastic! I have to say that the 1.5 and 2 lbs loaves were not much different in size. Nit sure why but I’ve tried a few and fir me, I just need a 1 or 1.5lbs anyway so I wasn’t worried about that at all but realized that may be you’ll save some ingredients by just going for the 1.5lbs instead of a 2lbs recipe. The pan is not ceramic coated but I can live with that. The kneading paddle never got stuck inside the bottom of my bread, ever but always stayed stuck inside the pan because of a tiny dough amount going underneath it while backing, ergo keeping it right there in place. To me it was ok but you have to soak and wiggle this paddle a but to get it off after baking. Takes 10 seconds but I thought I have to mention it. Tye kneading noise is not bad at all. Definitely lower than other bread machines I’ve been around but yes you will hear it. The beeping to remind you to add your nuts ir raisins or whatever your recipe requires is very loud and long. Yep. It is. Loud and long but again, I live in a studio so I hear everything right by me, lol. OVERALL; this machine gets a 9.5 out of 10 from me and believe me, I am picky. I feel like baking bread every day because I am so impressed by this machine but of course I can’t eat a loaf every day. So what do I do? I bake for my neighbors, too! Most appreciate a fresh and no preservative added loaf of bread. The price of this machine is well worth it for me but again; i am picky and i love good quality. If you’d love to get one of these but simply can not or want nit pay the price, here is a last advise from a very picky researcher, me; you could try the Vevor up to 2lbs bread machine for about $76 (look around) and that machine too is just great except it has no stainless steel housing. Hint hint. I do not know how long this other one would last you, though. - Sorry cuisinart but it’s an honest review here and again - Cuisinart is just a great, quality brand! Period. If you are looking for quality and great results, cuisinart compact bread machine is an excellent choice!
