Big Guns is a polished satiric novel that shows an insider’s (somewhat cynical) knowledge of how things work in the halls of Congress. Think Carl Hiaasen inside the Beltway. If you are a resident of Long Island, the local touches are an added bonus. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Funny and Relevant *by T***S on July 9, 2018* I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the writing in this story. Steve Israel produces a consistently funny narrative, with enough story twists to keep you interested. Between reading sessions, I looked forward to returning to the book. After I complete this review, I am going to look into his other books. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ What the hell happened?? *by J***K on July 25, 2018* I really enjoyed this book until the end. What the hell happened? No wrap up of the mandatory gun ownership law. No clear resolution of the congressional election. Just out of the blue an epilogue. This is my first read of this author and if this is how he writes, it will be the last.
