The first leg was excellent and the mounting plate was cast aluminium. Next leg I ordered was same as 1st leg apart from mounting plate that was a cheaper pressed metal version. Didn't look as robust as 1st version.I've just taken delivery of a 3rd leg. Again it has the cheaper mounting plate and whilst the 1st two legs were brushed chrome this latest one is bright chrome so doesn't match the other two!. I shouldn't really complain because I like the product plus delivery times were always quicker than expected.
