I've baked countless breads and pizzas on it already, and it provides a nice, crisp crust. The stone is wide enough to accommodate multiple loaves or pizzas simultaneously. The oven takes a bit longer to preheat with the stone in it, but once it's hot, it stays hot . . . even after repeated door openings to add or remove items. That allows for more consistent temperatures when baking multiple sheets of cookies, loaves of bread, etc. I placed an upside-down baking sheet under the stone as a center support, as the sides rest on my oven shelf brackets. I highly recommend it!

I ordered the largest baking stone available, and I'm very happy with the quality, size, and performance. I've baked countless breads and pizzas on it already, and it provides a nice, crisp crust. The stone is wide enough to accommodate multiple loaves or pizzas simultaneously. The oven takes a bit longer to preheat with the stone in it, but once it's hot, it stays hot . . . even after repeated door openings to add or remove items.
